Hmm - embossing central for today's challenge. I don't have so many folders that lend themselves to being the focal point, so I nearly pulled out my old Shape Boss. But this Bird Call folder was a good way to use up a totally failed attempt to use Versamark yesterday.
I'd stamped a piece of card with Versamark and spritzed it with Glimmer Mist and got - pretty shimmery green card.
Using coloured embossing from TLC324 I coloured it with a green and black marker (plus orange for the beak) before embossing. I edged it with a gold leafing pen, and did the same with the base after sponging with Peeled Paint distress stain. Sorry I can't get the gold to show well - it's very windy outside today.
Sentiment stamped on white card with Encore Gold and embossed with gold EP, then cut with Fancy Tags. I spritzed it with what was left of my green glimmer mist and sponged it off just to add a little colour, then masked the centre and sponged the edges with Broken China. It's popped up on foam, and I added a drop of Liquid Pearls for the blackbird's eye - I love their yellow eyes.
With all that embossing and an ODBD stamp this is also an entry for the current Stamping in Time challenge to use embossing.

Very pretty...love the black bird and how you've colored the folder. Perfect verse for your folder.

This is so beautiful! Love what you did with that folder! And thanks for naming that folder I used today! I couldn't remember the name of it to save my life! ;)
